NSUE Website

NSUE, the National Service Users Executive, is a non-profit organisation set up to examine and help mental health service user's participation in the implementation of the 2006's A Vision for Change report, which became the governments policy on mental health.

The main mandate of NSUE is to inform the National Health Service Directorate and the Mental Health Commission on issues relating to user involvement and participation in planning, delivering and monitoring mental health services, and provide best practice guidlines. So no small task thats for sure.

NSUE needed a website that would inform, engage and develop a community for mental health service users. With a large body of information and resources the key was to design a website that wasn't intimidating and had a light feeling to it while supporting the seriousness of the content and subject. The website encourages participation throughout, with blog style content and comments as well as a comprehensive members forum section.
