Our work / Down Syndrome Centre Redesign
The Down Syndrome Centre is a charity fundraising for the delivery of Ireland's first Down Syndrome centre, a home for developmental excellence in all matters relating to the care and treatment of people with Down syndrome.
Well the last time we showcased the Down Syndrome Centre, we were busy working hard together to expand their website and online services. We're happy to say that the roadmap of new developments we put in place, and have been working on over the last 24 months, has been really successful. The Down Syndrome Centre has more users than ever before subscribed to its online newsletter service, reading its blogs, getting advice from its advisor's panel, and engaging with the website.
As a result the website has grown considerably. So we've redesigned the main landing pages on the website; increased the amount of space available for content sitewide; put in a local ad-deck; revised their Search Engine Optimisation strategy; and further expanded the community aspects of the site, by putting in a brand new community section to integrate social media networks like twitter, facebook, vimeo and flickr. All networks that the non-profit is active on.
We know its a lot, but there's more. Together with our sister company UPR we've also completely integrated and rebranded uGive, UPR's web 2.0 fundraising application, AND uMeet, UPR's online support & counselling web app.
The Down Syndrome Centre can now fundraise online, for as many events as they want, and receive payments straight to their paypal account. It's been a great success so far with over €8,000 raised online already!
The online support services are also slowly growing. It will take a while for the service to gain traction, but already there's been keen interest and lots of registrations to take part in online expert advice sessions, and parent support groups, all made possible through uMeet's technology.
We're really looking forward to continuing our close collaboration with the Down Syndrome Centre and helping them grow this, and their other services over the coming months.
Since developing our site a little over two years ago, we have relied on Cubedroute's "know how" to bring us to the cutting edge of what it is possible for a charity website to achieve. It has been so satisying to come to the table with a clear vision, to be able to communicate this effectively with the Cubedroute team and to witness them employ their creative and technical expertise in delivering us the state-of-the-art website which is now our frontline service.
