Designing your website with accessibility in mind means that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with your website, and just as importantly, you can interact with them.Whether your website needs a re-design or a new design or something in between, we can help you ensure that you meet all accessibility standards and are W3C compliant with a great looking and highly functional website designed to your tastes and standards. We adhere strictly to the offical guidelines when developing our sites, and all our standards based websites bear the W3C compliant logo as a seal of approval.
Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI)
As of 2002 the Irish Government has committed to the implementation of the eEurope 2002 Action Plan. Launched by The European Commission one of its main objectives its that public sector web sites and their content in Member States and in the European Institutions must be designed to be accessible to ensure that citizens with disabilities can access information and take full advantage of the potential for e-government.Traditionally, providing websites that were accessible according to the WAI guidelines has been the concern of public bodies, charitable organisations, and those organisations dealing directly with people with disabilities. Those bodies were most concerned with their services and information being available to all users of the web. However as the eEurope 2002 Action Plan continues to achieve wider recognitionand implementation it has brought new impetus to more and more private companies to start making their online presence equally as accessible as their public counterparts.
If you would like to discuss how we can help you ensure that your site is 100% disability compliant and accessible and meets level one, two and three of the WAI guidelines then speak to us today or drop us a line. We would be more than happy to discuss what solutions are suitable for your needs.
